The official Grand Opening of Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa on the 11th December 2015 saw the whole resort turned into a world of fantasy, where all senses were stimulated, and imagination could go free…

Guests were able to experience a wide range of festivities with
circus style performances, and imaginary creatures guiding them through a fantastic stroll. An impressive entertainment line-up showcased the best Mauritian talents and world-class performances.

The 580 guests present at the glittering inauguration witnessed a specially commissioned performance, staged by more than 30 artists, which narrated the story of Le Touessrok through performing arts, music and a light show culminating in a fireworks display to dramatically mark the rebirth of the personal paradise. The evening concluded with the internationally acclaimed music label Hed Kandi with superstar DJ Carl and Peyton, resident vocalist for Blue Marlin, Ibiza, performing Gospel & Disco House music on the beach, where
guests revelled until late hours.

After an extensive six-month renovation, Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius, has reopened on 1 November 2015. Drawing inspiration from Le Touessrok’s rich history and the chic style found throughout Mauritius, the hotel welcomes guests with Shangri-La’s renowned Asian hospitality.
